About Dr. Mari Benitez

Dr. Marisenda Benitez was born in Fajardo, Puerto Rico. Dr. Benitez has a Bachelors Degree in Science with a minor in Microbiology from the Interamerican University of Puerto Rico. Dr. Benitez obtained her degree in podiatry in 1999 at the New York College of Podiatric Medicine. Two years of residency at the Brooklyn Medical Center provided Dr. Benitez her surgical foundation.Dr. Benitez joined the US Navy as a Lieutenant from 2001 to 2005. Dr. Benitez was stationed at the Great Lakes Naval Station.
